Onions Africa is a paid Education online platform focused on teaching and providing onion farmers with practical knowledge, information and tools needed to achieve increased productivity, yields and incomes in a sustainable way.
We collaborate and partner with industry experts, experienced farmers technician and researchers at fee to create onion farming courses needed by onion farmers who require professional education and trainings. Lecturers offer the lessons through online or offline classes via text, videos, audios, seminars, exhibitions and farm visits.
All trained onion farmers have the privilege of accessing and talking to experts and using our marketplace and shopping portal to buy farm inputs or sell their farm products. This gives onion farmers capacity to grow more acres and by extension leads to increased production of quality onions and incomes for farmers.
In addition, Onion Africa platform also offer onion farmers a digital social network forum on Facebook group (Onions Africa forum) where onions farmers connect with one another to solve problems, share ideas, and spread innovation, for free. The social network has enlisted onion experts and experienced farmers to give better guidance and authentic answers to farmer’s queries and problems.

How We Operate
Onion Africa invites industry experts, experienced farmers technicians and researchers to create onion farming courses on the best and latest agricultural practices, techniques, pest and diseases in onion farmers.
The content taught is practical and mostly recorded practically from onion farms so that the techniques being taught are demonstrated in the real onion farm environment.
Onion Africa divides its courses into levels of difficulty, and users choose which ones to follow based on their skill set. Courses are cut into 10-minute clips, which means farmers can easily watch them in their spare time.
The platform also organizes offline sessions where farmers can interact with lecturers face-to-face.
